Although I was unsure if I would do a post like this to summarize 2018, I decided to write it after reviewing the content.
December 2018 marked my six-month anniversary of Invested Wallet going live. It’s been four full months since I started to really market the website.
There’s been some great growth, but I want more. I think 2019 will be a fantastic year for Invested Wallet.
Many of you who are reading this blog or coming to the post, may be very new. Welcome to the site if you’re new! Thank you for coming back!
Growing a blog IS HARD. It was also one of the best things I did in 2018. This post will help you if you want to create your own WordPress site and you need some tips for growing it.
Popular Invested Wallet Posts in 2018
Since the official launch of Invested Wallet’s website in mid-June 2018 I have published 35 articles. One guest post and one sponsored article. You may think that 35 articles is not enough content, or that it’s too low.
I have always prioritized quality over quantity when it comes to content. All of my articles were between 1,200 and 2,000 words, but I only published one article a week. I would rather give my best detail than small bits of generic content 3 to 5 times a week. These posts take me some time to write, edit, publish and promote.
I am also the full-time head of marketing at a company where I do a great deal of content creation. It is really hard to write a few articles of content each week. My brain is fried. In late 2018, I developed a writing process and groove that helped me streamline my work. I hope to be able to consistently post 2 times a week, instead of just 1 as I used do.

These articles are not aimed at a large audience or for SEO but I think they offer great value.
Here are ten of the best Invested Wallet posts from 2018.
Six personal finance mistakes I made when I was in my twenties that I don’t regret now. It’s fun to write personal stories but it also helps me relate because I know many other people have made the same mistakes. It was almost therapeutic for me to look back at my past mistakes and see how they shaped my financial situation today.
The three things listed below are the main causes of your current money problems. Another passionate article that I wrote. This is another article I wrote with passion. This was also syndicated by Rockstar Finance and CampFIRE Finance which was awesome.

Why you should face your current net worth, no matter how scary it sounds. Many people ignore their net worth when they first start to look at their finances. At first, I did the same thing. It’s still important to understand this number.

How I invested over $50,000 while tackling personal debt in just a few short years. This was written early, when nobody read the blog. I hope that this will help others who are stuck in a rut to figure out how they can save, invest and pay off their debts at the same time.
A few Highlights of Content
In order to achieve this, I was able to mention myself in articles and syndicate some of my content. The number of publications and mentions that I received in 2018 was insane. It wasn’t until I looked at my old work that I realized.
In which well-known publications did I appear?
Business Insider (2x).
Time is a factor.
MSN
Huffington Post (2x)
BestLife
Yahoo Finance (2x).
GoBankingRates
BBC
ValuePenguin
Two more are in the works but it has taken a little longer because of compliance and holidays. Also, I have been syndicated on Rockstar Finance twice, which is an honor.
In 2019, I would like to add more features to the list above, syndicated in Rockstar Finance and syndicated in other publications such as MarketWatch or Business Insider.
Lastly…
I would like to thank everyone who has visited Invested Wallet. Any of my content.
It is not easy to start a blog or grow it. It can be difficult to get people to read your blogs, but each visitor and comment is important.
No matter how large this blog gets, I’ll always be humbled.
Welcome to 2019!
